APPLY TO WORK AT WRSC

The West River Sailing Club, located in Galesville, Maryland on the beautiful and peaceful West River, is looking for qualified Sailing Instructors to join our team.  We have a wide variety of opportunities for you to share your skill and love of sailing with future sailors ranging from ages 4 ½ - 18 in our Junior Summer and High School Programs, plus we also run an adult sailing school for those of all ages over 18.  We are a fast growing program and looking for a few good instructors to join our team.

OUR PEDAGOGY

We believe sailing can be taught universally and holistically — meaning that there is more to being a good sailor than just winning races. We teach our kids how to read their sails, feel the boat, know how to take care of a boat, seamanship, all of it. Our goal is to instill a love of sailing that lasts a lifetime, which means we must teach our kids to be well-rounded sailors and people.
